   Why Gear/Gem for Armor Penetration?

   

  Armor penetration is a somewhat difficult stat to explain so I will explain it to the best of my ability. Armor penetration is a stat that scales differently from strength. Strength scales the same whether you have 1 or 1000 and is always worth 2 attack power. Armor penetration is the opposite. The closer you get to 100% (with or without a trinket) the more it is worth. Keep in mind that you cannot obtain more then 100% armor pen. Since this scaling is at a curve, when you reach numbers like 50% armor penetration and you use a trinket, your armor penetration will be worth about 30% more then strength is.

• Nevershock Biography -

  What’s up Arenapwnage.com it’s Nevershock here. I would just like to give you guys a little bio on how I got my start into arena and world of warcraft itself! I’ve been playing world of warcraft for nearly 5 years now and have always played a shaman from start to finish. I have been playing arena since season 1 and have recently earned my first Gladiator title. Don’t let a 1 season Gladiator fool you however, the reason I do not have multiple Gladiator titles is that I was on a low population server named Gul’dan and there was nobody there to play with haha! I still managed to receive duelist titles several times but in that time I have picked up some very powerful tricks when it comes to playing a resto shaman. Last season however was my first real season of pvp in which I transferred to several different servers.

   

   

  My ultimate destination was Sargeras on the Shadowburn BG. From that server I rose into one of the highest rated resto shamans in the world. I managed to achieve 2850 as a resto shaman which is nearly unheard of due to lack of extremely powerful comps for resto shamans at the time. I was one of the top contenders for the Relentless Gladiator title in that season and nearly achieved it if it wasn’t for some faulty errors and disconnects. I’m not stationed on KT like most of the Arenapwnage pros. I will be releasing videos and guides on how to play a resto shaman to it’s fullest abilities. Keep a look out on the forums and by all means if you have any questions please post on the shaman forums and I will put as much as I can in posts and or videos that I produce. I look forward to my time here on Arenapwnage.com and I hope to see some good feedback from everyone here on Arenapwnage.com.
